At the Auckland Branch 75th Annual General Meeting held on Monday 16 June 2025, Peter Millar was awarded Branch Life Membership and Tracey Roberts was presented with a Service Award.
Peter Millar was presented Branch Life Membership. Peter's contribution reflects the spirit of the Branch Life Membership criteria—marked by lengthy and effective service. Peter joined the branch committee ten years ago and since then has served diligently, consistently demonstrating a high level of commitment, integrity, and impact. He has been instrumental in many initiatives that have strengthened the branch's operations and fostered greater engagement across the local civil contracting community.
Peter's leadership has been quiet but influential, offering support and guidance to numerous Chairs over the years. He has always been willing to roll up his sleeves and provide continuity and institutional knowledge that has proven invaluable. Peter served for two years as the Branch Chair and led a number of subcommittees, including currently the one organising Ellerslie Branch meetings and the Finance Committee that looks after the Branch funds.
Tracey Roberts was presented a Service Award for on-going dedication and support for the REOC. Tracey has been a member of the REOC Subcommittee since 2016, so almost 10 years, and she has been, is, and continues to be a major driver to the successful delivery of this event. She puts in a lot of hours and effort in the organisation whilst staying calm, collected and importantly for our Branch, continues to build and maintain excellent relationships whilst advocating for CCNZ, ensuring our reputation remains at a high level with everyone she deals with. Without her organising the sponsors, marketing, general comms and support at the actual event every year, the REOC would struggle and certainly wouldn’t be anywhere as successful as it is.
Tracey has also been fantastic with the SME subcommittee, helping pull events together and building alignment with stakeholders. She is also a champion of the Young Contractors, being involved in the meetings and helping behind the scenes. As well as being highly knowledgeable about the industry landscape and a go-to resource to understand what is happening 'out there', she has great enthusiasm and is a wonderful asset with exemplary commitment to the CCNZ branch committee and subcommittees. Tracey’s dedication to assist all of us across multiple disciplines is second to none and makes her very deserving of this Service Award.
