NorthWater were the winners of the Good Stuff Award for Q2 2025 and were presented with the Good Stuff trophy at the Branch Meeting on Monday 7 April.
In partnership with Oxyzone Australia, NorthWater have developed a new solution for sterilisation of water.
NorthWater identified that the current process for sterilising water (using Pipeline Chlorination) was inefficient in time and cost. By working collectively and patiently for a number of years, NorthWater have developed an alternative that:
- is more environmentally friendly and sustainable
- uses zero chemicals
- reduces task staging and stakeholder involvement
- leads to reduced time and cost for the client
Ensuring certainty of meeting all NZ Drinking Water standards was paramount - the service is approved by Watercare. NorthWater is the first NZ business to provide this service to both the public and private sector.
