CCNZ awarded life membership to Past President Brian Warren at the CCNZ Hirepool Construction Excellence Awards on 30 July 2021, recognising an outstanding career of more than 40 years, and an incredible determination for improving the industry.
CCNZ Chief Executive Peter Silcock said Mr Warren had been involved in representing contractors, and thanked him for his outstanding contribution to the industry.
Mr Silcock said Mr Warren had been involved in representing his fellow contractors at national level for decades, and his commitment to improving the industry and organisation by developing people was 'truly outstanding'.
"Brian led us through some really significant change to the organisation and for the wider industry. His focus has always been on how we develop and better recognise people within the industry. That's the legacy he contributed in his time with CCNZ and Civil Trades, and it continues in his work as Connexis Chair."
CCNZ President Tony Pike congratulated Mr Warren on his life membership.
"This is a really special award. It recognises someone who has contributed a huge amount of time, energy and effort to not only CCNZ, but the wider industry. We only award CCNZ Life Membership when there is a deserving person. We don't do it every year."
CCNZ Life Membership is only awarded when there is a deserving person to recognise. Brian Warren is well known to most members having been very involved in CCNZ and the industry for many years. He has worked in the civil construction industry for more than 40 years having held senior positions in Fulton Hogan and Isaac Construction.
