The Natural Environment Bill and Planning Bill have been proposed as a replacement for the Resource Management Act. Submissions to parliamentary select committee are due by 13 February 2026.
Civil Contractors New Zealand has composed a draft submission in response to the Planning Bill and Natural Environment Bill, which have been proposed as replacements for the Resource Management Act.
CCNZ encourages members to use any of the points raised in the CCNZ submission, or alternately to state in any submission they make that they 'support the submission made by Civil Contractors New Zealand'.
The proposed RMA replacement is likely to result in significant change for the civil construction industry. CCNZ has obtained a small extension to better take into account the perspective of members, so if you would like to provide feedback or contribute further to the CCNZ submission, contact CCNZ Communications and Advocacy Manager Fraser May.
