Civil Contractors New Zealand made a submission in response to Government consultation on strengthening NZ's emergency management framework.
The submission noted the key role contractors play in emergency response and the design and execution of the emergency management framework. The submission also noted where proven response frameworks such as SCIRT and NCTIR could be recognised through legislation, and called for better recognition of the role of contractors in any changes to the system.
