Notice of 2020 Annual General Meeting, call for motions and nominations

As a result of COVID-19 and the cancellation of our 2020 Conference the Civil Contractors New Zealand Annual General Meeting will be held as an electronic meeting on Thursday 30 July 2020 from 9.00 am to 10.30 am.

The Annual Report, full AGM agenda, resolutions, information on candidates nominated and proxy forms will be sent to all members on Thursday 9 July 2020.

The business of the AGM will be:
1. Apologies and condolences
2. Confirmation of minutes of the 2019 AGM
3. Consideration of Annual Report and financials for the year ended 31 March 2020
4. Appointment of Auditor
5. Election of Officers and Executive Councillors
6. Consideration of Resolutions
7. Approval of changes to the CCNZ Strategic Plan
8. General Business

Call for Executive Council Nominations
CCNZ is governed by the national Executive Council. Nominations for elected officers can be made by Contractor Members and CCNZ Branches. Please use the attached nomination forms. Nominations must be received by the Chief Executive by 2 July 2020.

President
Tim Ford’s two-year term expires at the 2020 AGM and he is not seeking re-election. We are seeking nominations for President. Vice President Tony Pike has indicated that he will be seeking election to the position of President and is available for nomination.

Vice President
Tony Pike’s two-year term expires at the 2020 AGM and he is putting his name forward for election as President. We are seeking nominations for Vice President. Executive Councillor Bailey Gair has indicated that she will be seeking election to the position of Vice President and is available for nomination.

Executive Councillors
There are three positions up for election. The terms of office of David Howard, Mark Evans and Bailey Gair expire at the 2020 AGM. David and Mark have advised that they intend to seek re-election and they are available for nomination. As indicated above Bailey is standing for Vice President.

Other AGM Business
If there are any motions you would like considered at the AGM please send them to me by 2 July 2020.
