Purpose: TDC has recently reviewed their regional background concentrations for Cleanfill, Spoil and Demolition Waste from our sites. These differ substantially from their previous levels, and TDC are now proactively enforcing them. We have brought up some experts in the field to talk to us about this subject and what can be done going forward.
Discussion points by Fulton Hogans’ Environmental Solutions Team:
- Broadly outline the new rules, standards, guidelines, for waste/cleanfill.
- How are other regions dealing with the new rules, standards, guidelines. For waste/cleanfill (i.e. treatment, blending, repurposing)?
- Overseas examples for dealing with contaminated material.
- What are some of the options we could look at for dealing with our issue (possible examples) with estimate costs and processes required?
