Come along to network, find out what Civil Contractors NZ has been up to and listen to a presentation by Miles Anderson, farmer and politician who was elected as a Member of the New Zealand House of Representatives for Waitaki, representing the National Party and to Robert Choveaux, System Manager - Lower South Island, NZTA.

Miles will be discussing what is going on locally, what the government is doing to support a thriving economy, and also give an update on items and projects that matter to civil contractors such as 3 waters, transport policy, education, cutting red tape etc...

Robert will present on what’s in a pothole? NZTA’s plan in motion to realise the governments expectations on pothole repair and prevention under the new draft GPS.

Miles Anderson:

Miles Anderson has 30 plus years farming and business experience. Miles is married to Kim and together have three grown children.

He has lived and worked the Waitaki electorate for most his life and believes that this region and its people represent the absolute best of New Zealand.

As a MP, Miles is ambitious for Waitaki this is his place, and his passion and drive lies in helping the people as they are the ones who make it one of the best places to live.

Mile’s wants to help strengthen our economy so we can reduce the cost of living, lift incomes, build the infrastructure we need and deliver health and education services which focus on outcomes, not bureaucracy.

He has previously served on the Federated Farmers board and as chair of its Meat & Wool Industry Group. During that time, Miles realised that he had more to give and wanted to be a part of what the future looks like.

Miles is getting stuck-in representing his home electorate in Parliament and doing his bit to make sure Waitaki continues to go from strength to strength.
