Participants will participate in professional training around building silt fences to GD05 standard. Sessions will be approximately 2.5 hours and start with a short presentation, followed by practical exercises. The training will include:
- Main principals around erosion and sediment control
- The environmental impact of sediment discharges, particularly in an Auckland context
- The main types of controls that we would expect to see on a standard small site
- Practical exercises: installation of a silt fence/super silt fence and stabilised entranceway.
