The Civil Workforce Forum project
Established by Civil Contractors New Zealand and sponsored by the Ministry of Social Development and Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, the Civil Workforce Forum's first research project was the Developing a Skilled Civil Construction Workforce report, released on 12 April 2022.
This report discusses and evolves the pathways to employment for people looking to join the industry.
The project initially focused on how the industry gets people to the start line in their civil construction careers and help them get the skills they need to start work, whether this be through ‘industry induction’ or pre-trades training.
