Have Your Say: CCNZ 2026 Election Manifesto – Wellington Wairarapa Member Workshop

Workshop Details

📅 Date: 2nd March 2026
Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
📍 Location: Dowse Art Museum – James Coe 1 Room

Over the past year, CCNZ has made real progress lifting our profile in Parliament and strengthening relationships across all major political parties. Through the tireless work of Fraser May and our advocacy partner Awhi Group, CCNZ is now recognised as a trusted and credible voice for the Civil Contracting Industry — and that influence matters.

With 2026 being an election year and polling suggesting a tight contest, it’s more important than ever that our industry’s voice is heard clearly as political parties develop their policies around infrastructure.

To ensure we are well positioned to provide advice to the parties, CCNZ has commissioned Awhi Group to support the development of a 2026 Election Manifesto for the Civil Contracting Industry. This manifesto will clearly articulate the following three questions:

  • The key current and future challenges facing civil contractors
  • Practical, industry-led solutions to those challenges
  • What our industry expects from the next incoming government

Once completed, the manifesto will be formally presented to each of the main political parties on the 31st March, hence the urgency in holding these workshops.

Member input is critical to this work, to ensure the manifesto genuinely reflects regional perspectives and real-world experience.  Over the next 4 weeks Awhi Group will be facilitating in-person member consultation workshops across each CCNZ branch region. These workshops will be focused, practical discussions centred on the three core questions above.

Participation is voluntary, but having strong regional representation will be vital to producing an Election Manifesto that carries weight and credibility in the capital.  We need the voice of large and small contractors from around the country to come together for the project.  This is the best opportunity we have ever had to have your voice heard on election matters that could impact your business.

This is more than a discussion - it’s a rare opportunity to influence national infrastructure policy at a critical time.

Join us. Have your say. Help shape the message that goes to Parliament on 31 March.

RSVP now and be part of the conversation.
