WHEN: 9am, 30 August 2023
WHERE: Due Drop Events Centre, Auckland
We hear the words sustainability, resilience and innovation a lot these days – at The Black Art, we want to delve deeper into what this actually means and what we can practically do about it, as it relates to roading in New Zealand. The Black Art is a full day technical workshop, focusing on the art of the “black stuff” - chipsealing, asphalt, microsurfacing, slurry seals and more.
So, we are presenting an incredible line-up of speakers from across the industry - and across the world - presenting on topics such as research findings on the real carbon footprint of roads, pavement design, specifications & testing updates, learnings and challenges from the East Coast recovery, as well as plenty of chat about sustainable solutions in the industry, designing for resilience and a panel discussion on the challenges faced by contractors in the switch to emulsion.
The Black Art is a great opportunity to network, and to share our learnings and challenges across the roading and surfacing industry. We look forward to seeing you there!
Be there on 30 August at the Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau (conveniently located close to Auckland Airport) to hear asset owners, technical pavement and surfacing experts and practitioners of the black arts of bitumen, asphalt and other roading construction present their visions for the future.
